  31. alliance intended to put the power of 3D Digitizing on to the 
  32. desktops of engineers, artists, animators, and scientists.  The 
  33. integration of the PERSONAL DIGITIZER hardware platform from 
  34. Immersion Corporation and the HYPERSPACE software package from Mira 
  35. Imaging has resulted in a professional quality 3D digitizing and 
  36. modeling system for under $2000 complete.   This package which is
  37. available for both the MS-Windows and Apple-Macintosh platforms is 
  38. destined to take 3D digitizing out laboratory and put it on the 
  39. user's desktop where it belongs.

  42. The PERSONAL DIGITIZER from Immersion Corporation,

  44.     The Personal Digitizer is a high quality 3D digitizing tool 
  45. which is ideal for engineers, designers, animators, graphic 
  46. artists, and virtual world builders.  This small desktop unit allows 
  47. the profile of 3D objects to be traced with a pen-sized stylus and 
  48. stored as a data set in standard formats.  The Immersion Personal 
  49. Digitizer interfaces with any computer system via a standard serial 
  50. port and reports data points with position resolution as high as 12

  62.     HyperSpace is a digitizing and modeling software application 
  63. that uses the Immersion Personal Digitizer to quickly and easily 
  64. create 3D computer models of complex real-world objects.  HyperSpace 
  65. software uses XYZ coordinate information from the Digitizer to 
  66. create 3D wireframe models which appear on the computer screen as 
  67. you work.  You can set light sources and render the 3D image with 
  68. ease.  The software allows you to edit points, edges, and surfaces 
  69. as you construct the 3D model.  Once your model is complete, you can 
  70. export to a file.  HyperSpace can produce data files in most 
  71. standard file formats including DXF, Wavefront, Symbolics, 
  72. Softimage, Alias, Super 3D, and Swivel 3D.

  75. a powerful modeling system.  Modeling tools supported include 
  76. reflection, extrusion, surfaces of rotation, surfaces patches, auto-
